Hi all,

The coaches have been pumping the kidos up today about our upcoming meet with Seven Oaks, they always bring good competition!

As usual, we ask that all swimmers and volunteers arrive by 4:30. If you are on the setup crew it would be great if you can get there even earlier to set up our tents. The address is 12275 Seven Oaks Parkway, Johns Creek.

Please have your child's events already written on their arm. The coaches have been printing these out on Thursday morning and passing them out to the kids after their practice. I will also email you a copy. Don't forget sunscreen, a towel, bottled water and maybe something to keep the littles occupied between events.

Here is a message from Seven Oaks Team Rep:

*Your bullpen will be in the grassy area behind the clubhouse, so you might want to have families bring bug spray. Kids are more than welcome to play on the playground and we also have 2 new picnic tables that are available to you. The downstairs bathrooms in our clubhouse are undergoing renovations, so please have your families avoid going on the lower porch area for their safety (we are working to get it roped off). *We will be having concessions, including Chick-fil-a, pizza, hot dogs, nachos, candy, and drinks. Also, one of our sponsors (PolkaDot Dentistry) will be giving away free ice cream to all the swimmers! *You will be in lanes 1, 3 and 5 and your warm-up time will be at 5:00. There will be a timers meeting by the diving board as close to 5:15 as possible so we can start the meet right at 5:30.

This meet's fun theme is "All tattooed up and ready to swim!" We will be handing out fun summer themed temporary tattoos to the bullpen parents for the kids to have fun with. I personally would like to see how many they can put on the coaches!!  

Looking Ahead:

Please take a minute to RSVP for the ASA championship and Barracuda Bash. Both events can be found on our website under "Swim meets"

The ASA Championships is considered our last meet of the year. It is an opportunity for our swimmers to show off the skills they have acquired over the season and compete in an Olympic size pool at Georgia Tech. Entry fees are $20 for each swimmer. The first session begins Thursday at 3:00. Your swimmer needs to arrive by 1:30 to check in and prepare for warmups. Qualifying swimmers will return on the following Saturday. These include the top 10 relay times, top 40 individual 10 and under times and top 30, 11 and over individual times from the combined results of the divisional meets. Results from the divisional meets on Thursday will be updated after each session and posted at www.atlantaswimming.com. This is where you find out if your swimmer has qualified to swim in the final. As you sign up please realize that this could be a 2 session event if your child qualifies on Thursday so please keep your Saturday free. Deadline for sign-up is Monday, June 18th.

Also please let us know if you and your family can attend the end of the year banquet. It's always a super fun way to end the season! Dinner will be provided, awards will be given and everyone loves the slideshow! Please RSVP for the Barracuda Bash by Monday, June 25th.
