Highland Park Swim Meet 6/28
Good afternoon!
Our last official meet is tomorrow at Highland Park! We ask that all athletes, first shift volunteers and bullpen volunteers arrive by 4:30pm (setup arrives at 4pm!). Please make sure your athlete arrives with their arm marked for their event. See below for more detailed information:
1. EVENT LOCATION: The meet is held at the Highland Park Pool located at:
- Main entrance is located at: 135 Mirrowood Ln, Johns Creek, GA 30005
- Limited parking spaces here
- Secondary entrance: 12500 Cornish Ct, Johns Creek, GA 30005
- RECOMMENDED: This secondary entrance does have more parking spaces as this is used as our overflow parking. There are stairs/path that lead from the parking lot to our pool. Parking is only permitted on one side of the street to avoid bottlenecking the flow of traffic. Parking is limited so please carpool if possible.
2. Our bullpen will be reserved in the grassy area between the pool and tennis courts in addition we have some shaded area under our deck for the older kids next to the bathroom. You may also use the grassy area next to our basketball court down on the grassy area by the playground. Please bring bug spray.
3. The Crocs Cafe will be serving Pizza, hot dogs, chips, candy and water/Gatorade. Please support their team by purchasing your meals, snacks, and drinks through our Crocs Cafe. If possible, please bring small bills.
4. The pool deck is NOT set-up with chairs for spectators, so parents may wish to bring their own chairs to ensure sufficient seating. As always, it is a great idea to also bring plenty of bug spray and sunscreen.
5. Medlock Bridge Team warm up time will be from 5:00-5:25pm. The meet is scheduled to start promptly at 5:30pm.
6. The timers meeting will be held near the bathrooms whenever the ASA official calls the meeting prior to the meet, usually 5:15pm.
7. As always, we do expect our athletes and parents to treat Highland Park personnel and property with the most respect. Be courteous, be supportive and always show the highest level of sportsmanship. We are representing Medlock Bridge and our entire community.
See you tomorrow!
