Barracudas,

Our first meet of 2015 is here!  We swim against St. Ives at their pool tomorrow (Thursday).  The entrance is directly across from Egg Harbor.  The pool is down on the left. Plan to arrive no later than 4:45.  Warm ups are at 5 and the meet begins promptly at 5:30.  Attached please find a Swim Meet Information Guide to answer any questions.

A few other reminders:

1. We still have practice in the morning. This will be a light practice to get the kids ready for the meet.

2.  Bullpens will be near the pavilion and grassy area.  Remind your children to STAY with their bullpen.  We do not want the bullpen parents to hunt for swimmers, or for them to miss their events.

3. St. Ives is a full-service club.  A variety of food, snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.  Attached please find a menu with prices.  No outside food and drinks please.

4.  Wear your team suit if you have it.  Please bring goggles, extra towels, sharpies. Sunscreen and bug spray are also recommended.  

5. Swim Caps and T-shirts (if ordered) will be distributed tomorrow

6.  Make sure you and your swimmers pick up after themselves on the deck and bullpen areas.  We do not want to leave our hosts with a mess to clean up.

7. Please keep an eye on the weather. As you know in Georgia, the weather changes quickly. Below is our weather policy:

Inclement Weather Procedures at Swim Meets

Every effort must be made to swim each meet as scheduled. In the event of inclement weather, each team must show up at the pool on time. If at 5:30 the weather still precludes the meet from starting, the team reps and referee will decide whether to postpone the meet or cancel the meet.

The meet will start and/or continue in the event of rain. Thunder and/or Lightning will stop the meet immediately. We must wait 20-30 minutes without any thunder or lightning before we can proceed with the meet.  If it does begin to thunder and/or lightning, please go to your cars to wait safely for further instructions. Please do not leave the meet until you are notified that the meet has been canceled. We will send out emails.
